Which programmes

Most links go to Amazon. HomeDeskSetup is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Not every link is an Amazon link, and this is worth stating plainly because most disclosures forget it. Some products are sold direct by their manufacturer rather than through Amazon, and those links run through other affiliate networks. The clearest example on this site is the Autonomous Desk 5 Pro, which is sold direct by Autonomous and linked through the Rakuten Advertising network. It is an affiliate link in exactly the same sense as the Amazon ones, and this disclosure covers it.

What it influences, and what it does not

Commission does not decide which product wins a roundup, and the structure of the site is the evidence rather than the promise. Product grids sample across the full price range of a category instead of leading with whatever converts most easily. Every build guide carries a list of items to skip. Every top tier recommendation includes a paragraph on who should not buy it. None of that is what you would build if the goal were maximising commission per visitor.

One page carries an additional material connection, disclosed on the page itself: the Autonomous Desk 5 Pro reviewed here was supplied free of charge by the manufacturer for review. The author had owned that brand's desks for years beforehand, at his own expense, and the criticisms in that review are unchanged from the version published before this site existed.

Prices

Prices shown across this site are the figures returned by the Amazon Product Advertising API when each page was last built, and they change constantly. The live listing is always the authority. No price on this site is estimated, rounded for effect, or invented: a product that comes back from the API without a price is left out rather than guessed at.
